OUR STORY
More than two decades dedicated to tattooing
The story of Killyan Tattoo Studio began long before we arrived in Donostia.
Behind Killyan is a journey in the world of tattooing that dates back to 1999. Years of experience, learning and evolution, with each stage helping to shape who we are today.
Our passion for this profession has always gone hand in hand with a constant pursuit of quality, technique and knowledge, including further training related to skin care and skin health.
2007 · The First Tattoo Killyan Studio
In 2007, the first Tattoo Killyan studio opened its doors in Tàrrega, Catalonia.
It was the beginning of an independent project and a very personal approach to tattooing: listening to every idea, working on each design individually and creating pieces that reflect something of the person who wears them.
2010 · A New Chapter in Lleida
Three years later, in 2010, Tattoo Killyan moved to Lleida.
The project continued to grow, gaining experience, clients and new challenges along the way. Each studio marked a different stage, but the philosophy remained the same: to take pride in our work, continually evolve and make tattooing something far more personal than simply a drawing on the skin.
2015 · Killyan Arrives in Donostia
In 2015, a new chapter began: Tattoo Killyan arrived in Donostia-San Sebastián.
Arriving in the city marked a turning point. The studio began to make its place in Donostia with a distinctive approach and a space full of personality, also attracting the attention of various media outlets.
But there is a part of this story that many people don’t know.
A Studio Built from Scratch
Killyan Tattoo Studio in Donostia was not simply a premises that was decorated and opened to the public.
he space was designed and built almost entirely from scratch by the founder himself.
Where there had initially been an empty space and an idea, walls, floors, work areas, décor and all the details that would eventually give the studio its personality gradually began to take shape.
Countless hours of work, renovation and dedication went into transforming that space into the studio we had imagined.
That is why our studio is also part of our story. Every corner carries a piece of who we are.
And then came opening day…
After all that work came one of the most special moments: finally opening the doors of the new Killyan Tattoo Studio.
Since then, countless stories have unfolded within these walls: first tattoos, large-scale projects, cover-ups, piercings, and clients who came for the first time and ended up returning year after year.
We have also had the opportunity to share our work in the press and on television, showing a little more of what goes on behind the scenes of a tattoo studio.
2020 · A Year We Will Never Forget
And then 2020 arrived.
A strange and difficult year for everyone, which also forced the tattoo industry to stop and reinvent itself. We adapted to new measures, new ways of working and a reality no one had imagined.
It was another challenge in our story and, once again, we kept moving forward.
And We Keep Writing Our Story
From that first studio in Tàrrega to our current studio in Donostia, many things have changed
The cities, the spaces, the techniques and the projects have evolved, but one thing remains exactly the same: the desire to do things well…
Because Tattoo Killyan was not built overnight.
It has been built through years of experience, change, decisions, journeys, renovations, learning and, above all, every person who has placed their trust in us along the way.
